Kathryn Adams graduated in 2011 with her BFA from Alfred University. She has lived in North Carolina for the past 3 years. Her initial lure to North Carolina was Penland School of Crafts. Followed by Penland was an internship at Jackson County Green Energy Park; a glass blowing facility that uses methane from a landfill to blow glass. After the Green Energy Park she moved to Asheville to manage Asheville Glass Center Gallery. Over the past couple years she continues to be full time glass artist. She continues to grow as a maker from activities like being a studio assistant at Penland School of Crafts, collaborating with other artists in the area and teaching.
